Originally from Montreal, Andrea attended Middlebury College in Vermont and Italy, where she received a B.A. in International Studies and Art History, magna cum laude.  Shortly after graduation, she moved to New York to work in public relations for brands such as Lonely Planet and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.  Andrea returned to Montreal for law school at McGill University, completing coursework at Université de Montpellier and working at Ogilvy Renault.  After obtaining her civil and common law degrees with great distinction, she started her legal career at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, a large Wall Street firm.  There, her practice focused on international arbitration and litigation, leading to some long-term, Paris-based mandates.

ANDREA BRINGS 20+ YEARS IN BIG LAW, PR AND NONPROFIT TO COACHING – ALONG WITH HER ANALYTICAL AND EMPATHETIC STYLE.

Over the course of a decade, Andrea worked on matters involving a stolen Monet, the construction of a Bulgarian power plant, the collapse of a $20B hedge fund, refugee asylum applications, and much more.   After a lot of reflection, she moved back to Montreal to have a baby (solo) and take a role in nonprofit management, where she helped a 100 year old institution navigate the pandemic and develop a sustainability plan for the future.

Today, Andrea coaches professionals across continents as a Certified Leadership Coach and International Coach Federation (ICF) member, and acts as a consultant for various organizations.  She speaks English, French and Italian and is also an active committee and board member to several NGOs.  She lives in NDG with her husband, two daughters and step-son, and enjoys playing in parks, trying new recipes, and watching reality tv.

As an entrepreneur, Andrea has helped me clarify my goals and hold myself accountable for taking the steps necessary to achieve them. With her previous experience in law and NGOs, I really feel like Andrea understands my challenges and helps me see them from different perspectives. With her warm but firm coaching style, every session feels both productive and energizing, and I always walk away ready to take action.

CLIENT APPRECIATION

I met Andrea when I was working at a big law firm, just after a mat leave. My return was more difficult than I’d imagined, juggling work performance and a hectic family life. Andrea helped me analyze my goals, redefine “my” success and values, put my preconceived ideas into perspective, and then make a game plan to find a balance. She is approachable, funny and very professional and now I feel I’ve made the right decisions for me at this point in my career.

Having Andrea as a coach is like having a good workout partner: she holds me accountable, challenges me and helps me grow so that I can achieve my goals. I still do the “heavy lifting” but with her help, I see results faster. Andrea is very empathetic and in combination with her life and professional experience, I believe she is a great coach for anyone.
